You seem to have the time of your life! Luisa lovingly teases me when we call each other. Even though we broke up over a year ago, we still talk often. I share my exciting life stories with her, and she can't help but notice that I am a completely different man than the one she used to date for seven years.
I have to agree with her. I do enjoy a very different lifestyle now. I work out every day, and I am in shape again. Old pants fit nicely, my chest is broader, my arms bigger, the elusive six-pack is starting to subtly indicate that it does exist (still a long way to go!), and women make compliments - something I have never been able to enjoy. It feels nice.
For the first time in my life, I care about style. Sandra, my styling coach, taught me so much. I know about color palettes, skin types and the importance of wearing matching accessories. "Brush your teeth before every date, and put on sunscreen! You want your skin to remain smooth and not become dry." Yes, I even have a favorite clothing store now - Armani Exchange, if you are wondering.
I go on dates a lot. The women I meet are nothing but awesome. All of them. I am learning so much about myself, and what kind of man I want to be.
For the very first time in my life, I am acting according to who I really am. I am putting myself first, and I try to understand how my past has shaped my present. I lovingly give myself permission to change the traits I don't like about myself. I don't let guilt, shame or fear define who I am. It's phenomenal, and I invite you to do the same.
I want to learn more.
